League of Legends: Wild Rift

League of Legends (LoL) fans have something to celebrate this summer with the launch of LoL: Wild Rift. This is an upcoming battle arena multiplayer game that is sure to attract any LoL player. The best way to describe LOL: Wild Rift style is a mix of fantasy, steampunk, and cosmic horror.

LoL: Wild Rift was first announced in October 2019, marking the tenth anniversary of League of Legends and has since been beta-tested in various countries.

For fans of the original LoL, they may be wondering what differentiates LoL: Wild Rift from its predecessor? For one thing, players of Wild Rift should see it as a condensed game version of the original LoL. Staying true to what inspired it, the goal in Wild Rift remains the same, you are on a mission to destroy your opponent’s Nexus. The Nexus is a protected structure, and that dictates who succeeds or fails.

The destruction of the Nexus is just one aspect of Wild Rift; however, there are other game modes that players can pick from.

In LoL: Wild Rift, rounds last approximately between 15-20 minutes depending on the selected mode. In each round, two teams composed of five players compete to be the first to destroy the others Nexus. Gameplayers of Wild Rift are called the summoner, which battles against other players (human or computer-controlled).

While the game has human opponents that are to be beaten, some neutral players can help a player gain experience points and items. These neutral opponents in the game include jungle monsters, Rift Herald, and Baron Nashor. Of the three neutrals, the Baron Nashor is said to be the most powerful and challenging to beat.

LoL: Wild Rift is soon going to be available for download on iOS and Android devices. The game can be played on desktop as well. One of the big things that players of LoL: Wild Rift can expect to see is the ultimate compatibility with mobile playing. Originally, LoL was played on the PC; however, with Wild Rift, it opened a new market for those who want to play on the go.

This venture into mobile gaming by Riot Games, the brainchild of LoL, is going to be a first for the developers. They are hoping that Wild Rift is going to deliver just as LoL has and continues to do so. The mobile game was designed to be accessible on any Android or iOS device that is has been released within the last five years.
